Students apply for admission to the UBC Okanagan campus through EducationPlannerBC.

For application and document deadlines for the various faculties and schools, see Application and Document Deadlines. All necessary educational documents, including an application for admission and the application fee, must be submitted by the designated date. Applications will not be evaluated until all required documents and the application fee have been received by Enrolment Services. See the online application available through EducationPlannerBC and Application and Administrative Fees. All admissions evaluations will be conducted by Undergraduate Admissions in Vancouver.

UBC only admits students to the Winter Session (beginning in September) and the Summer Session (beginning in May or July). In order to begin studies in January, applicants must apply for and be admitted to the Winter Session. Students admitted to the Winter Session can elect to register only for courses beginning in January. Starting classes in January may limit course options and may lengthen the time it takes to complete degree requirements.

For faculties and schools that have more eligible applicants than they can admit, applications received after the deadline will not be processed. For faculties and schools that expect to have space available, late applications may be accepted. However, late applications will only be considered after all other eligible applications, and it may not be possible to process them before the start of classes. Applications that are not complete by the document deadline may be cancelled if the program sought has been filled by that date.

Documents submitted in support of an application become the property of the University and are not returned to the applicant unless they are irreplaceable (e.g., graduation certificates/booklets, Iranian high school transcripts, etc.). Applicants who submit irreplaceable documents may complete a Request for Return of Irreplaceable Documents form. Irreplaceable documents will be returned after the admission evaluation is complete. For applicants who do not attend UBC, documents will be kept on file for one year only. For those who attend UBC, admission documents are retained for five years after a student stops attending the University.

Notification of admission decisions is given to applicants after all necessary documents have been received and evaluated. Offers of admission and information concerning registration procedures will be provided to all successful applicants.

Offers of admission or readmission are valid only for the session(s) and campus indicated on the letter of acceptance.
